How to add hours and minutes

1. Add all the hours together and all the minutes together.
2. Divide the total minutes by 60. The whole number is extra hours; the remainder is minutes.
3. Add the extra hours to the hour total.

Worked example

2 h 45 min + 3 h 30 min + 1 h 50 min: hours add to 6 and minutes to 125. 125 minutes is 2 h 5 min, so the total is 8 h 5 min, or 8.08 decimal hours.

Subtracting time

Set a row to Subtract to take time away, for example to remove unpaid breaks from a total. If minutes go below zero, borrow 60 minutes from the hours.
